Lauren started in the club's 5th team, making quick progress to the 2XI team in the English National League and then playing for Canterbury 1XI in the Premier League, making her debut at 17 years old.
Lauren says, "I'm so excited about the opportunity to join KHCB Dames 1 next season. I'm looking forward to meeting you all, playing hockey with a great team and being part of the coaching team at the club."
Lauren will join us for pre-season this August and we look forward to introducing you to her in person then.
JULIAN
"I am 28 yo and I came from Spain in 2017, looking for an opportunity to continue my coaching and playing career. Belgium was the perfect country to do so and, despite of the weather, I very much liked living here. I studied Sports Sciences and a master in Education to become a teacher but, so far, hockey has been my passion and what I want to continue doing for the upcoming years. Lastly, I speak English, French and a bit of Dutch.
As a coach, I believe that the understanding of the game is one of my strengths. I am very perfectionist and passionate which sometimes makes it an annoying combination for the players when they have to repeat things thousand times until is good enough. Finally, even though I consider myself a complete coach with a bit of everything, there is a lot I need to learn and I am very grateful to KHCB for this great opportunity I have been given, to keep on growing within such a nice atmosphere.
Although this will be only my second year coaching at this level, I feel ready for this division and I am sure that I have a lot to give to the team. Honestly, I am very excited about next season as I believe we can build a nice project for the upcoming seasons. I can´t wait!"
